Job Description

Quality Manager job in Scotland, Livingstone - 6 month contractDovetail Recruitment are pleased to be working with a long standing client in recruiting for a Quality Manager based in Livingstone, Scotland on a 6 month contract. The role will be based in their food factory and the ideal candidate will have several yearsof experience working within Food Factories.The Quality Manager will be reporting to the Technical Director and work closel with the factorys technical personnel. The key will be to review and improve the factory QMS system and to prepare the site for upcoming major retailer audits. This role isinitially a 6-month contract, with the potential to extend.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with factory staff to prepare for an upcoming audit.
  • Prepare product specifications, web based and word based for finished products and raw materials.
  • Work with the team, motivating and ensuring they are meeting the required quality standards.
  • Ensure quality procedures and standards are in place, up to date, and compliant
  • Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes, and improvements
Knowledge & Experience:
  • MUST have experience within the food industry
  • Good working knowledgeof Quality Management Systems, HACCP, BRC, Allergen Controls, Ethical Requirements, Internal Auditing, third party and retailer accreditation systems and Codes of Practice is essential. A HACCP based qualification is also desirable.
  • Knowledge of Tesco food standards is essential.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft and other computer programmes to prepare technical documentation and carry out data analysis e.g. complaints, trends etc.
