Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to be up skilled on high-tec placement machines, as well as learning a lot of manual skills whilst working in a clean room environment. Working as part of a team of 20 operators, ensuring quality standards and KPIs are met.Client DetailsLeading provider of micro and optoelectronics services in engineering, procurement, assembly, and test in space and harsh environment markets.Description

  • Working as part of a team under the supervision of the Shift Leader & Production Manager
  • Recording data results accurately on run cards during production process
  • Following instructions as set out by the standard operating procedures
  • Manual and semi-auto assembling packaged microelectronic and optoelectronic parts
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery
  • Inspection of parts in manufacture using microscopes and precision measuring equipment
  • Continuous quality standards met as set out by quality criteria
  • Testing and packaging completed parts
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc) to start production cycle
  • On the job training
  • Weekly early and backshift rotation (6.00-14.30 Mon-Fri & 14.00-22.30 Mon-Fri)
  • Additional overtime may be required at the weekends
  • Opportunities for progression within the role.
Profile
  • Good standard of general education
  • Good hand to eye dexterity (colour vision) with experience working with small piece assemblies
  • Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • The initiative to work on your own or as part of a team
  • Able to report non-conformances / problems to the relevant person
  • Able to record data accurately
