Acorn is recruiting for a Production Operative to work at their client site based in Livingston, EH54.The work is ongoing and may lead to a permanent vacancy moving forward.The company offers excellent working conditions and genuine opportunities for progression.Hours of work are a 3 shift rotational pattern, 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am Monday to Friday.Pay rate is £10.50 per hour.Duties will include:* Dispense ink in line with the daily production plan(s)* Move product to & from machine(s) if applicable* Book back press returns into the dispense management system* Place press returns in clearly marked locations* Re-work press returns where possible* Cluster press returns into common running colours* Place a weekly material order using the order form provided* File all delivery notes for month end consignment stock count* Book new deliveries into the dispense management system* Replenish material stocks on dispense management system* Arrange uplift of any empty containers or waste ink, ensuring containers are safely palletised and lids are securedSupport ink blender and ink production through the following:* Observe all customer and H&S rules and polices* Ensure ink area complies with customers hygiene accreditation* Maintain dispensing equipment and working area with good housekeeping techniquesIdeal background - capabilities, skills and experience:* You must have good colour vision and an eye for detail* You must have excellent communication skills and be capable of performing their daily duties without direct supervision* You must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate value activity to the customer* IT skills are essential as are good problem solving skills* You must be methodical and tidy in their workThere are immediate starts available.Acorn Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
