Job Description

Process EngineerLivingstonPermanent£35,000 - £38,000Excellent benefits and progression opportunities Our client is a specialist manufacturer within electronics. Working on complex products for a variety of industries such as Oil and Gas, Industrial and Instrumentation. They have been on a continued period of growth and are looking to add to theirexisting team.Main accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring NPI data ie. Gerber, Mark Up, P& P files and the P&P component library are up to date before each build and throughout any changes
  • Ensure quoting and actual costs discrepancies are highlighted and addressed.
  • Support quoting of assembly costings.
  • Support data integrity on our production systems that includeroute cards, engineering change control, yield recording, order progression recording and traceability where possible.
  • Support the ordering of stencils / PCBAs for new products
  • Ensure Emax accurately reflects all critical Process / Production Engineering activities
  • Present daily Engineering status to production meetings formally.
  • Process Engineering benchmarking process to be identified and employed
  • Reporting of Engineering status as per Operational Improvement Plan KPIs
  • Responsible for the monthly review and reporting of all aspects of Process Engineering performance.
  • Drive root cause and corrective actions whenever departmental issues identified
  • Quality System compliance
  • Creatively support the drive to install a continuous improvement culture within the business.
  • Ensure direct Manager informed of departmental status and issues as required.
  • Identify and create suitable work instructions in line with ISO 9000.
  • Liaise with all departments to ensure NPI issues identified, and action plans created and actioned to correct initial issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and experience: Must have:
  • Candidates will have good Process/Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • All candidates should have a high attention to detail and will have excellent communication skills; they must be self-motivated, have a proactive attitude and be able to communicate well with team members.
  • They will need to be able to work effectively on their own and as part of a team, they should also have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in the PCBA industry would be a distinct advantage.
