Job Description

Principal Engineer Livingston(3 days Remote p/w) £80,000-£90,000 + 10% BonusMy client are Europes leading media and entertainment brand.They are currently looking for a Principal Engineer to join their existing team.What youll do:

  • Act as the technical lead to a team of engineers working cross-functionally in an agile environment.
  • Be a top-notch coder and an expert in the domain, capable of deep diving into implementation details of components and features across the technology stacks.
  • Be at the forefront of significant technology initiatives from inception to successful deployment.
  • Work closely with Enterprise Architecture to develop optimal software/system architecture
  • Stay on top and drive adoption of advanced features and capabilities where it makes sense.
  • Help shape the technical direction and the improvement of tools and processes across the department
Essential Skills:
  • A minimum of 8 years software engineering experience
  • Excellent Java 8+ knowledge and a strong understanding of Spring framework
  • Experience following coding standards and performing peer code reviews
  • CI/CD experience (ideally with Jenkins)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to continuously learn and share knowledge with others
