Operator - Ink BlenderPermanent Livingston£25k - £30k6-2, 2-10, 10-6 rotating shift pattern.We are recruiting for an Ink Blender for a large Printing company at their location in Livingston.This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a large company with great prospects.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site support to customer through the following: * Dispense ink in line with the daily production plan(s) o Move product to & from machine(s) if applicableo Book back press returns into the dispense management systemo Place press returns in clearly marked locationso Re-work press returns where possibleo Cluster press returns into common running colourso Place a weekly material order using the order form providedo File all delivery notes for month end consignment stock counto Book new deliveries into the dispense management systemo Replenish material stocks on dispense management systemo Arrange uplift of any empty containers or waste ink, ensuring containers are safely palletised and lids are secured.Support ink blender and ink production through the following: * Observe all customer and company H&S rules and polices * Ensure ink area complies with customers hygiene accreditation * Maintain dispensing equipment and working area with good housekeeping techniques Provide on-site technical support to customer through the following: * Update and maintain digital colour database and recipes within the dispense management system o Update and maintain X-rite (iQC) with existing and new colour standardso Support on-site colour corrections and basic trouble shooting on pressSupport ink management and ink production through the following: * Capture any NCR issues and action accordinglyIdeal Background - Capabilities, Skills and Experience* Must have good colour vision and an eye for detail* Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of performing their daily duties without direct supervision * Must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate value activity to the customer o IT skills are essential as are good problem solving skillso Must be methodical and tidy in their worko Must hold a full driving licenceAcorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
