Job Description

Reed Accountancy are delighted to be supporting one of our top manufacturing clients located in West Lothian to recruit for a new Management Accountant.This is a superb opportunity to work with the Production Manager in the analysis of manufacturing performance of the UK site. You will also work alongside the Technical Manager and also support the Senior Management Accountant in the preparation of theUK monthly management accounts.My client is looking to speak with a technically strong and driven Pare-Qualified Management Accountant, who as the ability to liaise with leaders across several business units and create strong long-lasting relationships.Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Management Accountant in the preparation and submission of the final UK monthly management accounts
  • Reconcile all intercompany balances
  • Monthly preparation and reporting of purchase variances
  • Preparation of cashflow forecast for UK Capital Expenditure and reporting of this the Senior Management Accountant
  • Prepare and post monthly stock journals
  • Support the Accounts Payable team - Support on monthly UK VAT preparation, Support year end statutory audit process and Urgent Payment Requests
  • Costing of Bill of Materials
  • Preparation of month end accounting journals
  • Preparation and submission of cost and rates adjustments on yearly/ as required basis for standard costing
Experience:
  • Involved in a manufacturing business and have strong experience and knowledge of standard costing
  • Preparing Management Accounts
  • Worked with external auditors and other external bodies
  • Prepared variance analysis on standard costs
  • prepared capital expenditure proposals
The candidate:
  • Part qualified accountant with at least three years experience
  • High level of competency in MS Office
  • Ability to manage, analyse, summarise and present complex
