Job Description

DESIGN SERVICES PROJECT MANAGERLIVINGSTONDAYS£60,000 - £70,000 We are looking for a motivated Design Services Project Manager to join a market leading company. You will be involved in all projects within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always is always looking to enhance its employeesand their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.Role Description

  • Drive the development of our next generation of innovative solutions for our clients.
  • Working in design services the role offers customer contact and a variety of technically demanding projects.
  • Projects cover the entire product lifecycle, from early concept development, detailed design, implementation, and test, through to manufacture.
  • the focus of the role is to lead the A2E team to develop initial ideas into real tangible customer products in short timescales.
  • The project manager has broad authority and responsibility for the customer relationship and success of projects.
  • You will use your electronics product development experience and your project management skills to transform our customers ideas into products.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years project management experience.
  • Experience of customer and supplier relationship management.
  • Detailed understanding of the embedded systems product development process, from concept through to manufacture.
  • Knowledge of a variety of engineering development processes, from waterfall through to agile.
  • The ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong background in digital and analogue system design, microcontroller system design.
  • Experience of project financial management and techniques e.g. earned value analysis.
  • Knowledge of highly regulated development processes, e.g. medical devices, ATEX.
  • Experience of preparing detailed proposals, helping to negotiate and win new contracts.
  • Comfortable with a variety of agile project management tools, e.g. JIRA.
  • Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering or closely related subject
