Job Description

MRD Recruitment is actively looking for a Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator for our very successful manufacturing client. This role is based in Livingston and reports into their Supply Chain Manager. My client is a UK manufacturing company based inLivingston with a global reach.The successful Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator based in Livingston will support the business in meeting its sales, through order processing, enquiries, supporting order inventory & shipping requirementsKey Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all orders are raised accurately & administered with correct price & product details to allow the production to process the order & support OTIF performance.
  • Build strong rapport with customers & work with them both re-actively / proactively to encourage growth in future order value & assist where required.
  • Take a proactive stance to identify delivery problems & work with the customer in resolving any concerns / enquiries & recording complaints that are raised to assist in their processing to reach conclusion.
Key Requirements
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures ensuring work is conducted in a safe manner completing detailed near miss / accident / incident reports as per company policy.
  • Process orders from customers, provide advice on the availability of product(s) & provide a confirmed delivery date, price etc. Allocate stock for each order strictly in compliance with the companys policies.
  • Enter order details into the order management system; ensuring all details are correct, confirm the details to the customer.
  • Proactively contact the customer prior to the shipment date to confirm the order remains on time or to advise of any potential delays or issues relevant to their order.
  • Aware of the current product range, updating own knowledge regularly.
  • Ensure paperwork requirements for export consignments / shipping are accurate & relevant to each country / customer, minimising any cost implications.
  • Become familiar with the export / European shipping system & capable of entering data into the system, handling the paper output in co-ordination of the order.
  • Undertake training as required by the company on new processes, systems, safety or other matters relating to the maintenance of a highly skilled, capable & flexible workforce.
