Job Description

*Are you an experienced Credit Controller/Senior Finance candidate with strong debt recovery management*Would you like to work in a vibrant and friendly team, rewarding work culture with opportunities for career development*Are you naturally fast paced and keen to exceed targets setOffice Angels Livingston are collaborating exclusively with a fast paced and innovative team for an Credit Controller/Senior Finance Assistant. The role is perfect for someone who has proven experience in debt recovery/a similar generalist role in financelooking for future progression. Based in Livingston West Lothian, you will be fully office-based Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm. Salary up to £30,000 (depending on experience).Role OverviewReporting into the Head of Finance, the role has a strong debt recovery and credit control focus and is an all-round generalist finance role. Personality fit, with the ability to communicate and work at pace are key qualities to succeed in the role.Duties & responsibilities to include:

  • Responsibility for credit control and debt recovery Management and resolution of key invoicing & credit control issues.
  • Raising Sales Invoices and registering Purchase invoices.
  • Upkeep and report on margin reporting.
  • Posting & Reconciling payments.
  • Bank and supplier Reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the VAT returns.
  • Processing payments to suppliers.
  • Assisting with month end duties.
  • Monthly payment runs.
Skills and Experience required:
  • Experience in a similar role with a strong focus in debt recovery and a passion for finance.
  • Prior experience in dealing with suppliers and strong debt recovery management.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong team player and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to improve processes and bring new ideas.
  • Proven working knowledge of MS packages, especially Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt within a fast-paced environment.
