CNC Setter/Operator TurnerPermanent positionMondayFriday3 shift patternCompetitive salaryLeading manufacturing groupOur client is a leading manufacturing business who are seeking a CNC Setter/Operator (Turning/lathes) to join the business. They specialise within Aeronautical & Energy components.   • To ensure continuity of production of quality parts ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • To ensure that quality, cost and delivery are continually improved.
  • To ensure that all work meets customer (internal and external) expectations on delivery and quality.
  • To be flexible and adaptable within work area.
  • To work with the Team Leader to obtain job assignments and ensure you have the necessary tooling and drawings.
  • To interpret drawings and process sheets to determine machining and set-up required.
  • To set up machines and inspect own and others work as required and to ensure the maintenance and improvement of quality standards.
  • To inspect dies to ensure required quality of forgings are produced.
  • To carry out die fitting and maintenance.
CNC Setter/Operator (Turning)Experience Required
  • 2-3 years experience in setting & operating CNC Machines (turning)
  • Working in a manual/heavy industry/engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices.
  • Knowledge & experience in Quality Systems & Procedures including SPC.
CNC Setter/Operator (Turning)Educational Qualifications:
  • Apprenticeship within Engineering would be desiredHNC/HND or time served machinist
Shifts3 ShiftWeek 1: 6am to 2pm,Week 2: 2pm to 10pmWeek 3: 10pm to 6amMonday to FridayYou may not always be needed to be on a 3 shift pattern, there may be times when just days or afternoons are needed without nights etc.
