BookkeeperSalary:Salary, £26 to £28K per annum (pro rata) DOEPlease Note: Our client may consider a part time role for the right candidateJob type:Full-timeHybrid both Work From Home (WFH) and some time in the office (80% remote working)Benefits:Company pension 8%Work from homeFull BookkeeperOur client has an excellent role available for an experienced bookkeeper, to work on a hybrid (mostly work from homeWFH) pattern with circa around 1 day a week from our office in Livingston (free parking) or on our client sites.WFH will be 80% of your time.For this role, which is required due to an ongoing increase in our company workload, we require a bookkeeper who is experienced with Xero.As we are taking on more work, we need someone who is experienced with Xero as a bookkeeper to join our expanding and dynamic accountancy practice, in Livingston.For any office-based time, we have a convenient office site to work from, with free parking and free coffee/tea, along with a great team to be part of and work and learn with/from.You will work with our client managers and partners, but you should also be able to work independently when you are working from home, taking ownership of your tasks.We will provide you with the necessary IT equipment to WFH, including company laptop, phone, monitor and printer.In return you will have the opportunity to train in cutting-edge technology and develop your technical expertise to achieve your career goals, working closely with our team to deliver a 21 st Century finance function to our clients.We offer a competitive salary, £26 to £28K per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience, as well as an 8% non-contributory pension plus 33 days a year holiday.To be considered for this role, you should be Xero certified and have experience with Sage Line 50, as well as strong double-entry bookkeeping knowledge.We expect that you will already be proficient in working with IT (MS Office, email, etc) and that you will have spent some time previously working in an accountancy or bookkeeping role.Our clients use a range of software such as Shopify, Elavon and Paypal, to streamline their bookkeeping function, so you should be keen to get involved with these types of technologies and integrations.We also use technologies such as Auto Entry, Dext, and Syft Analytics, to provide great service for our clients.Part of your tasks will be to take responsibility for maintaining a portfolio of clients where you will manage their monthly bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, and related client queries.We are an independent firm of Chartered Accountants serving clients across Edinburgh, West Lothian, and Glasgow, and we pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.We would love to hear from suitably skilled and experienced candidates, so please send us your CV.The first part of the recruitment process will be an online bookkeeping test.
