Job Description

The Firm:Weightmans is a Top 45 law firm with offices throughout the UK. Having been recognised as the leading legal employer at the annual Britains Top Employers awards 2021 and achieved record rankings in Chambers UK, we are immensely proud of the work we carry outfor our clients and the culture we provide to our people.The Department:Our Information Systems team is made up of many teams that work together to support Weightmans information systems and infrastructure. The teams include: development; operations; project services; and support.The role:The successful candidate must possess a good knowledge of the .NET platform, having used C# and the .NET Core in order to develop, maintain and support enterprise standard solutions both in a team and alone. This role should be filled by an experienced webdeveloper. It is essential that the successful candidate be enthusiastic about the technologies being used and possesses a desire to learn how to use these appropriately in an enterprise environment.The person specification:

  • Excellent knowledge of C#
  • Excellent knowledge of the .NET Core
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL based databases
  • Good knowledge of latest version of SQL
  • Good knowledge of Visual Studio
  • Familiar with .NET Framework
  • Knowledge of DevOps
  • Knowledge of standards for web development (such as HTML & CSS)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and test driven development
  • Excellent problem solving skills, ability to identify risk, evaluate impact and produce appropriate solutions, or escalate as necessary
  • Excellent deadline and personal time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to rollout solutions that are well tested and meet the needs of the end users
  • Can work with other members of staff when additional resource is required on projects
  • Awareness of OWASP methodology would be an advantage
  • Awareness of ISO27001 would be an advantage
