Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Group Services Department based at the Port of Liverpool.Role Purpose: This role will be responsible for providing management information on the use of utilities across the group. The role will manage (in consultation with the relevant business unit) the third party use of our networks and be responsible for the development of the associated tariffs and terms (in line with the appropriate Ofgem guidance) This role will include the following responsibilities:-To ensure our supply points remain contracted and managed -To be responsible for providing management information on the use of utilities across the group. Working with the suppliers and our management accounts team to provide useful and timely data -To work with the various sites to understand their networks ensuring we have an understanding of who is using the supplies and for what purpose -To work with the sites to develop their recharging methodologies and ensuring appropriate tariffs and mechanisms are in place and well communicated -To contribute towards the development of the billing processes, including the redevelopment or replacement of the current Utility Billing System -To support the management of the agency process for the supply of power from the CHP at the Port of Liverpool. To take a lead in the relationship with the CHP and be the day-to-day point of contact -To track and monitor the identification and delivery of resource reduction projects across the group, including the requirements under ESOS -To look for opportunities to reduce our resource usage / carbon impact through the identification of potential projects for the groupApplicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience: -Experience in managing utility contracts and supplies -A broad understanding of utility matters, including taxes and levies, budgeting, DUoS, TNUoS, triads etc. -A good understanding of utility charging mechanisms -Understanding of utility billing, systems and processes -A broad understanding of electricity and water regulations, taxes, and licensing regimes -Some commercial awareness and the ability to interact and work with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues -Good excel and analytical skills, to help interpret data and trends
