Job Description

Job Title: Underwriting CoordinatorLocation: Liverpool / Hybrid Salary: CompetitiveWe are happy to be working with a dynamic and innovative player in the finance industry. Our Client is committed to delivering exceptional solutions in the bridging finance space, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Underwriting Coordinator tojoin their expanding team.Role Overview:As an Underwriting Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the underwriting team to navigate cases from application to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient lending process. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams,external stakeholders, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth delivery of the lending process by managing due diligence, progressing cases, and coordinating tasks effectively.
  • Progressing cases to completion by obtaining and coordinating all relevant information.
  • Supporting the management of the entire lending process, from application through to drawdown.
  • Preparing accurate and professional offer documentation and overseeing compliance with loan conditions.
  • Handling broker calls, managing customer expectations, and enhancing the companys reputation.
  • Liaising with internal departments and external parties to manage the lending process effectively.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Keep detailed records of loans underwritten, assessment processes, and rationale.
  • Review valuation reports and internal due diligence reports.
  • Liaise with valuation panels, monitoring surveyors, solicitors, and customers to manage the lending process.
  • Maintain relationships with internal BDMs/brokers/clients and external partners.
Requirements:
  • Experience in mortgage or bridging finance space.
  • Excellent people and relationship-building skills across all seniority levels.
  • Track record of excellent negotiation skills and logic in prioritizing projects.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, driven, and a proven closer.
  • Passionate approach to customer experience.
  • Ability to build new processes and challenge the status quo.
  • Problem-solving skills and a constant learner.
Nice to Have:
  • Willingness to learn and upskill in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a fast-moving finance company within the regulated or unregulated business environment.
