What is on offerAHK has an exciting opportunity for a Vendor Manager to join our IT Team based in Prescot. You will be taking responsibility for UI/UX design for a suite of business applications developed for AHK and clients. The UI/UX Designer delivers an exceptional userexperience, using various methods and technologies. • Lead UI and UX design for software development projects.
• Implement and communicate standards for UI and UX to the wider team, ensuring that application designs are consistent with standards.
• Collaborating with clients and business stakeholders, to deliver high quality user experiences.
• Document and provide UI/UX designs to the software development team, agreeing on solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure UI and UX designs are aligned to solution.
• Perform acceptance testing on UI and UX designs, ensuring the designs meet the stakeholders requirements.
• Keep up to date with fast-changing UI and UX trends, presenting findings to leadership to initiate change where necessary.
• Evaluate existing applications, proposing improvements and optimisations where possible.
• Create wireframes and prototypes of new design ideas.
• Prepare and provide demonstrations of UI/UX design ideas.
• Ensure AHKs business applications ahere to standards on typography and graphic design.
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems, maintaining key attributes such as responsiveness.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following:Experience/Background

• 3+ years experience working in a similar role.
• Excellent understanding of UI & UX design principles and standards.
• Working knowledge of design tools, to support documentation of UI/UX designs.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Sound understanding of both web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications/Education

• Educated to degree level (high grade) or above.

Technical Specification

• Wireframe tool experience
• Some basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS advantageous for prototyping (not essential)
• Experience using tools such as Asana, Jira (not essential)
