Job Description

The Transport Planner will be responsible for planning mutlidrop and single run routes. Along with this they will be expected to communicate with drivers out on the road, and also with customers to update on the status of deliveries.Client DetailsMy client are a rapidly growing logistics business, offering third party logistics solutions to customers across the UK, with over 80 vehicles nationally.DescriptionThe key responsibilities for the role of Transport Planner in Liverpool will be:

Planning routes for mutlidrop, groupage and single run deliveries for the businesses customers.
Planning for around 80 vehicles and 80 drivers per shift, allocating routes and receiving updates while drivers are out on the road.
making adhoc amendments to transport plans.
Managing drivers hours against WTD.
Managing KPIs for areas such as fuel costs and route optimisation.
Creating reports related to transport and delivery performance against SLAs.
Communicating with customers regularly and in an effective manner.

ProfileThe key responsibilities for the role of Transport Planner in Liverpool will have:

Experience in transport planning.
Good geographical knowledge.
Good knowledge of transport regulations and drivers hours.
Great communication skills.
The ability to effectively manage a workload.
Experience in general haulage and groupage is advantageous.
The ability to work under pressure.

Job OfferThe key responsibilities for the role of Transport Planner in Liverpool will receive:

A salary of £32,000 p/a.
A 4 on 4 off work schedule (working days).
On site parking.
