Job Description

Trainee Blown Film Extrusion Operators x 3Salary- DOE + BENEFITSShift- 12 Hours Days & NightsCompany -This certified ISO9001:2008 Packaging Manufacturing company produces high quality PE, PP and other co-extruded blown films to BRC standards and to various industries. Due to company expansion they are seeking a Blown Film Extrusion Operator with Co-Ex and/or Mono experience.Overview - The Trainee Blown Film Extrusion Operator will be part of the production team reporting to their Shift Manager and Production Manager. They will be required to effectively work as part of a team to optimise production whilst adhering to site quality and safety standards.Role:

  • The primary role is the general assistance of the blown film extrusion machinery, production area and manufacturing facility
  • Shadowing a shift for 9-10 months depending on progress to learn the process of Blown Film Extrusion including polymers, reels, machine setting & more
  • It is required that the individual adheres to cleaning as you go ensuring a tidy production area and facility
  • Monitoring & learning machine performance, maintaining output, quality and waste targets whilst keeping downtime to a minimum, assisting with FLT driving, branding pallets, reel changes etc
  • To ensure all raw materials, scrap and finished goods are accurately documented and recorded
  • Continuous quality checks throughout production runs
    • Requirements:
  • Our client is looking for someone to have experience of working in a fast moving manufacturing environment
  • F.LT license
  • Blown film extrusion experience : Co-ex and/or mono layer machinery experience ideally however production/manufacturing experience is sought after
  • Must have a positive working attitude
  • Must be computer literate
  • Willingness to learn and be flexible which will allow the promotion into a fully fledged blown film extrusion operator which comes with an increase in wage
