We are seeking individuals who are compassionate and have a huge passion working with children and young people, to join there expanding, supportive team working in children`sresidential services.What the role will involve"SPARCS" or Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress is a group intervention, delivered during school hours, that is specifically designed to address the needs of chronically traumatised adolescents who may still be living withongoing stress and are experiencing problems in several areas of functioning. The overall goals of the 16-week program are to help young people cope more effectively in the moment, enhance self-efficacy, connect with others and establish supportive relationships,cultivate awareness, and create meaning.The main aim is to encourage and support this programme by implementing the SPARCs techniques into the day of day life of this beautiful 5 bedded childrens home as extra support and guidance and contribution to the day to day life of the children. The SPARCsteam will have full support by the company`s in house clinical psychology department.Shifts are a mixture of 12 hour day or waking night shifts, with the occasional sleep in shift which can be 9am until 8pm or 8pm until 9.15am with a little variation across the sites. You will be contracted to 35 hours per week which equates to around 3 shiftsper week and the potential for additional shifts is available.You may also need to support the children on weekend trips to holiday destinations, no day is the same but it is the most rewarding role. As a company, we are flexible as we understand all staff members do need a work life balance however, you need to be transparentin the sense of working round the clock from days to nights to weekend shifts and public holidaysWhat we are looking for:-Will be required to work a mixture of days, evenings and weekends-May have to support children on trips away and holiday destinations-Experience with direct work with young people and learning disabilities-Level 3 caring for children and young people Diploma / a recognised qualification in theraputic work with young peoplePlease note: All successful applicants must carry out a full DBS, right to work and reference check in order to officially start employment.To apply please contact or call
