Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Systems Support Manager to ensure the smooth running of all company IT Systems.Reporting to the Head of Systems, the role of the Systems support team manager is to oversee the daily operation of the systems support team which exists to support business users and clients using the business software.Role: Systems Support Team ManagerLocation: Hybrid or full time in office, Liverpool City CentreWorking hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 9:00am to 5:30pmSalary: £28,000 - £35,000 DOEClosing Date: 13/01/2023What you will be doing:

  • Investigate and resolve high level incidents
  • Maintaining department KPIs to ensure targets are achieved
  • Resolving team queries by providing a clear understanding of business systems, process & procedures.
  • Coaching and training of staff on key department functions/processes
  • Audit reporting, feedback & quality control for the team
  • Maintain and develop accurate outage logs for various systems.
  • Completing 1-2-1 training/development sessions
  • Day to day team leadership, including admin tasks, daily plans and allocating workloads.
  • Ensuring that team members are carrying out their duties and responsibilities
  • Motivating and encouraging all members of the team
  • Monitoring sickness absence by ensuring team members follow correct reporting procedures, update absence on internal systems and complete return to work meetings
  • Recruit, onboard develop, coach, and lead a high-quality team of enthusiastic individuals to provide a high level of support.
  • Utilise internal reporting tools to identify common trends in software defects.
  • Assist in management of testing where applicable.
  • Implement functional application changes required by the business.
  • Plan and Support functional application releases where applicable.
  • Work closely with Heads of Department and Key Business units to achieve common goals.
What were looking for:
  • Minimum of 2 years service in a support desk management role.
  • Excellent Organisational and Planning Skills
  • Advanced Communication Skills
  • Proficient in IT systems terminology
  • Comfortable with hosting meetings both Virtual and In Person with team members
  • Excellent Technical Knowledge and Expertise
