Job Description

Stock Analyst - Interim Role 6 months We are looking for a confident and articulate Stock Analyst to join the TJ Morris/Home Bargains team at based at Head office in Liverpool. The ability to clearly demonstrate results and financial benefits of projects and experience in a comparable role is essential.TJ Morris trading as Home Bargains is a privately owned family run discount retailer selling top brands at the lowest possible price on the UK high street.The Role The Stock Analyst will be working alongside the Warehouse Stock/Goods In Manager and play an integral part of the team ensuring a safe working environment and a productive and efficient operation of the business at all times.

  • Data analysis; providing succinct reports with a high level of detail
  • Refine and analyse large data sets to produce tangible business strategies
  • Work in conjunction with other key operational teams to ensure a smooth operation
  • Regularly report on volume, targets, statistics and KPIs
  • Be a team player who shares work experiences for the benefit of learning and service improvement
  • Provide regular information to warehouse operations to achieve efficient goods-in planning
  • Ensure that stock and sales forecasts are regularly updated and shared with various areas of the business to help maximise sales
  • Evaluating and reporting on supplier performance to ensure performance is within agreed parameters
  • Identifying and reporting on stock related issues to help maintain stock availability above target
  • Establish quality relationships with colleagues driving continuous improvement in service levels and resolving non-conformances
  • Project Management to deliver clear benefits and results for the company
  • Be a Company ambassador, creating a welcoming atmosphere for employees and customers
    • Essential Skills
  • Proven Research skills within stocks of companies and other variables
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-starter, can work independently and report findings confidently to the team
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated interest in the role
  • Communication skills should be outstanding in written and verbal communication to work in a team environment, possess the capacity to author exceptional research
  • Organisational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks while working independently or across teams
  • Analytical skills, capacity for generating ideas and leadership abilities
  • Competent to apply logic and data analysis to analyse complex issues and make sound decisions
  • Able to negotiate and influence others to achieve the required outcome
  • Flexible in approach to tasks and areas of responsibility and accountability

  • Monday - Friday: It will be essential to see some weekend/night operations as required
  • Base in Liverpool - with an expectation to work across multiple sites (accommodation available and fuel allowance)
  • Reporting to Head of Logistics and Logistics Director
