Job Description

Sheltered Scheme Manager x 2£25,455 (Including pay award 23/24)LiverpoolFull Time, PermanentAn exciting role has become available within our clients Sheltered Team in Liverpool, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the quality of life of some of their older, most vulnerable tenants.The Sheltered Team, which is part of their highly successful Support Network department, works collaboratively with their tenants and families as well as internal and external stakeholders to deliver tailored interventions ensuring that the needs of theirtenants are met.To be successful as a Sheltered Scheme Manager, you will have a passion for making a positive impact to tenants quality of life.In this role you will work one on one with tenants to promote independence, escalate concerns and capture any change in tenants needs. You will also be able to work with the tenants as a community to reduce social isolation, signposting to groups and encouragingtenants to take part in activities within the scheme or the wider community.You will also be responsible for the safety and security of the scheme, including compliance and health and safety checks.Our clients Sheltered Team recognises that their tenants are their biggest asset and they work with tenants and families to ensure that they can manage and maintain their home, within the Sheltered Schemes for as long as possible.Support Network is dedicated to helping people to remain safe, manage a home and support older people to maintain independent living. Theirr Network Teams are committed to delivering a range of housing related support services to people who require a bitmore support either on a short term or longer-term basis.They are now looking for someone who can work alone and in a team within their Liverpool Sheltered service, ensuring that tenants over 55 are able to live independently.This is an important role in which you will:

  • To assist in the letting process and carry out viewings of properties with applicants whilst promoting the benefits of sheltered housing.
  • Deliver a case management approach that assists tenants to manage safely at home.
  • Carry out tenant daily wellbeing calls and checks based on assessed risk that promotes independence and respond to emergency calls via the emergency system when on duty.
  • Ensuring the safety of the schemes including carrying out routine Health and Safety inspections and weekly fire alarm tests.
  • Management of the appropriate use of communal areas, including the monitoring of communal cleaning.
  • To assist tenants with reporting of repairs and report urgent and non-urgent communal repairs, liaising with contractors
  • Liaise with external repairs, maintenance and service contractors monitoring the quality of completed works.
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships of trust and respect with internal & external partners to promote independent living and brand reputation of Torus.
  • Promote safety and protection of vulnerable adults and children by ensuring that all safeguarding issues and concerns are reported promptly in accordance with Local Authorities and Torus Safeguarding Policies.
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a passion for working to improve the lives of older people
  • A proactive, professional, commercial, and resilient approach, able to work well at pace and produce innovative solutions
  • Experience of working with statutory agencies and the voluntary sector
  • The skills to manage relationships with tenants including challenging non-compliance
