Job Description

ALiverpool City Centre law firm with a strong reputation of career development and work quality are seeking aClaimant Serious Injury Fee Earner or Solicitor to join their Liverpool city centre office for their thriving team. This is a hybrid working role and offers the following:Attractive Salary up to £45,000Hybrid WorkingCareer ProgressionGreat BenefitsBonus SchemeMy client are looking for an experienced fee earner to assist them withall aspects of litigated and non – litigated complex/serious and catastrophic personal injury claims many of which will involve pain related conditions. The role involves dealing withall aspects of the claim from beginning to end.Individuals from Defendant backgrounds will also be considered. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deal with all aspects of litigated and non – litigated personal injury claims mainly of a high(serious injury/ multi track) value and/or technical nature as requested.
  • Continuously risk assess a case as it progresses and highlight concerns to your feeearner/line manager to include having regard to liability, contributory negligence,causation and quantum
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of the CPR and/or and other relevant case lawand/or legislation
  • Progress claims in a timely manner in accordance with the CPR
  • To liaise with the coroners court and attend the coroners court as needed
  • To attend if required the Magistrates or Crown Court for the hearing of any associatedcriminal proceedings
  • Obtain relevant and necessary evidence (medical or otherwise), liaising with medicalexperts as necessary, identify and request relevant discovery documents. This will includebeing familiar with digitised platforms for securing medical records and imagery, an abilityto review records and reports and prepare comprehensive summaries
  • Instruct Counsel, attend conferences, hearings and CMC’s, JSMs etc.
  • Draft pleadings, applications, instructions, briefs, schedules of loss and witness statementswith supervision.
  • Progression of matters, as and when necessary
  • Engage with business development activities as required by your manager or DepartmentHead of Department.
  • Engage with mentoring and training other team members as required by your manager orDepartment Head.
  • Delivering an outstanding client service and securing excellent reviews post settlement.
