Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a globally leading engineering consultancy on the hire of a Senior Town Planner to join their Northwest & Yorkshire Planning team.This company is at the forefront of delivering major projects which will help shape future growth across the UK. The Town Planners guide development proposals at each stage of the development management and policy development process, working with majorclients across the UK who help shape our communities, environments, and economies!In this role, you will support and lead specific areas of works for all types of planning applications for clients, including major and complex applications in growth markets including healthcare, education, energy, water, transport and commercial.Key responsibilities will include leading small to medium-sized projects whilst taking a lead role on specific elements of larger and more complex schemes. Supporting nationally significant infrastructure projects you will author and contribute to the productionof planning documents. Representing clients through the consenting process, influencing planning policy and plan making and support the team in business development activities, such as preparation of expressions of interest and proposals, promotional and capabilitymaterials.Requirements to ApplySuitable candidates will have excellent working knowledge of planning legislation, associated circulars, guidance and regulation and must be a chartered town planner or working towards it. You will be confident in communicating and presenting work to internaland external audiences and show passion for developing your own skills and career, as well as those of the wider team.
