We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic property development business with a difference, As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects,ensuring their successful completion within budget and in compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cost Management: - Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. - Monitor and control project costs throughout the constructionprocess. - Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks. 2. Contract Administration: - Administer and manage construction contracts, including subcontracts and change orders. - Evaluate and negotiate contract terms and conditions. - Ensure compliancewith legal and regulatory requirements. 3. Procurement and Tendering: - Manage the procurement process for materials and subcontractors. - Prepare and evaluate tender documents. - Analyze and award contracts to suppliers and subcontractors. 4. Risk Management:- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects. - Implement strategies to manage and reduce project risks. - Prepare and review insurance and bonding requirements. 5. Project Reporting: - Provide regular project cost reports and financialforecasts. - Present financial data to project stakeholders and management. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records. 6. Value Engineering: - Seek opportunities to optimize project costs while maintaining quality. - Suggest value engineering solutionsto improve project efficiency.7. Stakeholder Communication: - Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. - Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying ora related field. - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a senior role. - Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and negotiation abilities.- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, cost estimating software).Mayflower is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
