They focus on bringing together the latest industry trends and technological advances to provide highly innovative products – an exciting place to be with great technology constantly in production.They have four product focussed development teams, consisting of really smart and friendly developers who are already on a journey to adopt Continuous Delivery (CD). We run scrum, TDD and have automated testing to varying degrees. We’re really proud of our technology but they now need a great testing professional to join us to pick up our end to end manual testing balanced with helping drive change towards full automation as part of CD.It may take time, so manual testing must come naturally to you, but you will have experience in the change required to reach CD automation of acceptance criteria and the practices that go with that from a QA perspective (especially the shift in a tester’s role away from manual checking).As the first QA professional in our QA function you will be a self-starter who takes ownership of testing in your team and are confident in your influencing skills. You’ll be someone who builds great relationships with developers and other teammates as you influence the introduction of testing practices through credibility and great behaviours that bring people together. You’ll gauge where the team is on is journey to automation and provide the practices required at the point whilst driving change over time.It is crucial that you pick up an in-depth knowledge of how their technologies work along with the integrations they hold with each of their clients to supply data. It is equally important that you learn their business practices and their systems’ functionality that supports them and can demonstrate how you’ve achieved this before in previous roles. Experience in a similar stack of business systems and a microservices back-end with data-transformation and distribution is essential.If you understand the difference between Manual Checking and Exploratory Testing. If you understand how to influence a development team to come with you on improving the team’s approach to Quality and balance change with the need to progress feature development in a fast-paced environment. If you can craft lean test plans at pace that keeps our customers’ data safe and our solutions functioning correctly through attention-to-detail manual testing. If you have technical knowledge of automation technology and some coding skills, that’s even better.
