Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Group Human Resources Department, based at Port of Liverpool. Role Purpose:Part of the first line HR Connect team, the Senior Payroll Administrator should actively manage both weekly and monthly payroll activity and respond promptly to all related queries within agreed Service Level Agreements. Responsible for providing efficient support and guidance to the wider payroll team, ensuring a professional and compliant approach at all times.This role will include the following responsibilities:-Processing of Monthly and Weekly payrolls with a right 1st time approach-Updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles, and department / division transfer-Identifying and responding to payroll queries in a timely manner-Compiling monthly and weekly reports for the Executive team and business as a whole-Completing End of Year procedures including P11d, P60, EPS reconciliations-Adhere to our Safety365 policies with specific responsibility for ensuring the safe working of all staff and promoting a safe place to work without risk-Be fully up-to-date and knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures in order to deliver the highest standards of payroll advice to employees-Leading the Payroll/Pension/Flexible Benefits team and strengthening their skillsApplicants interested in this role should ideally posses the following skills and experience:-Practical experience working with the following systems, SAP, SD Worx and Kronos, would be advantageous.-The role holder must be organised, performing all tasks in a structured manner in accordance with agreed procedures. Possess strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and organisational skills-Excellent communication skills to ensure that all correspondence, whether verbal or written, is clear, concise and accurate-Knowledge of current payroll legislation and an understanding of current best practice-Capable of working effectively under pressure and prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines in a fast moving environment-Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package-Recognised professional qualification relating to payroll e.g. CIPP or working towards, is desirable
