Job Description

Were recruiting on behalf of a leading UK wide firm who are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The company are passionate about their employees and pride themselves on their culture.OverviewAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you would be asked to manage projects varying from RIBA stage 2-5 and to be knowledgeable with all aspects of mechanical engineering in commercial & residential sectors of the built environment.You will also be responsible for developing, validating & sign off from concept through to detailed design.Main roles & responsibilities:Responsible for HVAC and Public health services within a variety of developments (commercial, residential, heritage, etc)

  • Carry out engineering concept design through to detailed design
  • Ensure design projects and reports are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard. Conduct in house’ design reviews and checks
  • Be willing to assist with junior & intermediate development, to help promote the level of technical excellence
  • To undertake consultancy assignments and providing advisory support to Clients and contribute to formulation of design concepts and approaches
  • To undertake design checks and reviews before issue
  • Support Managers in the review of mechanical works
  • Attend Client meetings / Site visits & surveys
    • Experience requiredIdeally, you’ll hold relevant qualifications (NVQ/HND/HNC/BEng/BSc/CIBSE or equivalent), you’ll have had minimum 10+ years experience of working within the construction environment. You’ll have demonstrable experience of developing & maintaining relationships with customers, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Experience of leading projects
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Experience & competency with AutoCAD
  • Experience with Revit (desirable)
  • Experience with Thermal Simulation software - Designbuilder & Cymap (desirable)
