The Education Specialists are currently working with a specialist school in Liverpool, recently rated Good’ by Ofsted. Our Client caters for young people aged 11-19 years with a range of complex needs including physical disabilities, severe and moderate learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism spectrum conditions with additional learning difficulties. We are looking for Learning Support Assistants (LSA’s) to join an experienced and supportive team where staff and students are valued and respected, and work in a happy and improving environment. The role of an LSA is to support the young people in the classroom with their learning and specific needs.You will have experience supporting young people or adults with additional needs in an education or healthcare setting. You may also have received training in Intensive Interaction, Makaton, PECS, TEACCH or SCERS which support the development of provisions for pupils with complex communication needs and those with a diagnosis of Autism. The successful applicant will have a commitment to provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment in which pupils can develop their potential physically, academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally, and be willing to support pupils’ personal care needs. Training will be given.The role is to start immediately, offering both day to day and long term positions.
