We are now recruiting for a Sea Freight Export Manager to work for this well-established Freight Forwarder in LiverpoolYou will be responsible for the direct line management of a team of 12 and for allocating the daily workload to ensure that all tasks are carried out and you will act as the escalation point for any issues, disputes or queries. Your tasks and responsibilities* To manage and lead the Sea Freight Export team ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency within the team.* To ensure operational excellence through high-quality shipment management and daily monitoring to ensure all tasks are executed.* To actively manage interfaces and information / knowledge exchange. * Contribute as the process owner to continuous improvements of both processes and controls to facilitate lean and cost-efficient processes.* Actively review of operational procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement, and promoting an approach of continuous improvement within the team* Monitoring of monthly Seafreight KPIs to ensure the agreed service level is maintained and where necessary corrective actions are implemented.* To assist with customer onboarding and issue resolution. * Your skills and experience* High level knowledge of Sea Freight forwarding, operations and regulations* A good level of IT literacy, Microsoft Office is a must.* People management experience, able to motivate, monitor and support your team whilst being a good team player too. Youll create an environment of continuous improvement with a drive for operational excellence.* Ability to present and communicate effectively, a great collaborator and with strong interpersonal relationship building skills. * Excellent organisational time management and delegation skills, able to work under pressure whilst maintaining your composure.* Experience of working towards targets with great attention to detail.* A positive mindset and adaptable to change.Salary and BenefitsWe are offering a competitive salary with discretionary bonus and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, life assurance and private health insurance.
