Research Fellow - CardiologyST3+Fixed Term - 2 yearsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a research post at the Liverpool University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust cardiology department for an initial period of 2 years. The fellow will be instrumental in the conduct of an independently initiated and funded large 2 centre randomised controlled trial investigating 2 ESC approved pathways for suspected acute coronary syndromes. Liverpool University Hospitals is one of the largest trusts in the country with close ties to the university of Liverpool, Liverpool Clinical Laboratories and the North-West Coast Innovation agency. There is evolving and expanding research interest in biomarkers (POC and lab-based) and rule-out and rule- in algorithms for suspected ACS.
