Job Description

Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching AssistantLocation: South LiverpoolPosition Type: Part-Time or Full-TimeAre you a passionate and dedicated Psychology graduate seeking a rewarding opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a supportive educational environment We are looking for a Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at a primaryschool in South Liverpool. This role offers flexibility with the option for part-time or full-time employment.Role Overview: As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students within the school. Your understanding of psychology principles and techniques will be invaluablein providing tailored support to students with diverse needs.Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing strategies to support students social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, focusing on areas such as behaviour management, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
  • Utilise your knowledge of psychology to assess and address the individual needs of students, adapting support strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments that promote student success.
  • Contribute to the overall wellbeing and positive school culture by fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for all students.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • While previous experience in a school setting is beneficial, it is not essential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
