Job Description

Have you graduated with a degree in Psychology Are you still studying and want to gain practical experience Tradewind Recruitment are working with a number of SEND schools in Liverpool and Sefton. We are looking to recruit candidates with a knowledge ofPsychology to work alongside children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.Children within our SEND schools need both educational support and support with their social and emotional development.As a Teaching Assistant, you must have an empathetic and caring approach to support students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Working alongside the class teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment where every child can thrive
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including SENCOs, therapists and teachers.
  • Build a rapport with children
Requirements:
  • A degree in Psychology (or similar)
  • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs is beneficial but not essential
  • A DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
  • Legal right to work in the UK
