Howarth Morris are looking to recruit an experienced Project Accountant for an interim assignment with rapidly growing Housing Association based in impressive offices in Liverpool City Centre. This is a 3-6 month contract with potential for it to be extended. It is also worth noting that due to the pandemic this role will be 100% working from home for the foreseeable future.The RemitReporting to the Senior Finance Projects Manager, this role has been created to assist in a number of new and on-going projects. Manage change through combining excellent project management skills with an inclusive style to deliver intelligence lead improvements. This is a key appointment for the business and a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to add value. Key Responsibilities•Support the Business with the completion of the annual rent setting exercise.•Ensure the financial position of the Group is reported accurately and timely to the Management Team and board.•Assist in the delivery of a financially viable Group, delivering value for money services to its residents.•Support the Transformation Project to ensure targets are achieved in line with the Corporate Plan.•Calculate the new annual rent for each property for the new financial year commencing April 2020.•Providing the Local Authority with any Housing Benefit details in their prescribed format,•Provide general support and financial advice to the wider Group as it progresses through the Transformation project.Candidate Requirements•Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA).•Advanced Excel and experience of manipulating big data. •Proven record of delivering Projects on time with accuracy, compliance and collaborative working. •Responsible for own workload and manage time accordingly to ensure Projects are delivered on time.•Report/present to Senior Management.•Identify financial implications and provide problem solving solutions.•Manage development of financial systems.•Housing/Property experience preferred but not essential.
