We are welcoming applications for a Programme ManagerThe City of Liverpool College is the only general FE college in the city and the largest FE college in Liverpool City Region.It offers the widest, most diverse vocational curriculum in the region and ranges from entry up to degree and post-graduate levels and currently serves more than a third of all the 16-18 year olds in Liverpool and educates almost 12,000 learners each year,with all courses being delivered to the highest standard of learning. The support staff at the college play a vital part in ensuring that these courses are delivered to the standard of excellence we hold ourselves to, whether through supporting the students directly in their learning, or indirectly through business support rolesthat keep the day to functions of the college running smoothly.To ensure and maintain our support teams are maintaining our high standards, we are looking for high quality applicant for the following role:Programme ManagerFull TimeFixed Term – 18 Months£41,905The City of Liverpool College (COLC) is the lead partner for a Government funded programme that will support the skills priorities of the Liverpool City Region’s Local Skills Improvement Plan. The total value of the programme to the Liverpool CityRegion (LCR) is £4.5m and will run to March 2025. As the fund’s Programme Manager you will be responsible for working across the project partners and liaising with the Employer Representative Body (ERB) and other key stakeholders to ensure the project deliversits objectives and is well governed. You will also be responsible for looking at long term investment opportunities to ensure the partnership can fully capitalise on the legacy of the programme and support further innovation in skills and vocational training.As an experienced programme manager, you will work alongside the COLC Commercial Director in co ordinating those projects the college has direct responsibility for delivering including capital programmes and the creation of the LCR Freeport academy. Withinthis you will be directly responsible for developing programme plans, managing and reporting project risks, financial monitoring and building strategic partnerships. You will also work closely with the Programme Coordinator in administrating claims to DfE,project reporting (financial and outputs), and managing audit and compliance arrangements.You will provide the executive function to the LCR LSIF Programme board and work with the ERB regarding research, commissioning arrangements that will be funded through the programme and oversee all aspects of procurement. You will also be required to buildeffective relations with the project partners including the collaboration of LCR FE Colleges, the LCR Combined Authority (LCRCA), Department for Education (DfE) and the region’s network of independent training providers.Whist this is a fixed term contract for 18 months, the intention is to develop the opportunity into a full-time contract once alternative funding sources have been secured during the initial period.Responsible to: Commercial & Business Development DirectorDon’t meet every single requirementWe know that sometimes people can be put off applying for a job if they think they can’t tick every box but we realise the ‘perfect candidate’ doesn’t exist.
