Job Description

PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL OFFICER - NORTH WEST - 4 MONTH CONTRACT BASIS - £415 PER DAYArm are currently working with a well-known rail company who is currently seeking for a Principal Technical Officer to join their team on a 4 month basis based in North West England.About You:For this role you must have the following to be considered:

  • To qualify for this role you must hold PTS
  • You will need to have experience in renewals and refurbishments for Switches and Crosses (S&C), this includes: - Knowledge of track- Microsoft packages.
  • You must be able to construct well written arguments and challenges, business case.
  • Need to be able to use Total Stations specifically Trimble - construction industry tool.
  • You MUST have a DRIVERS license.
What you will be doing:In this role you will be expected to :
  • To be able to manage the preparations of work and resource specifications, method statements and plans.
  • To be able to undertake and supervise technical tasks, surveys and design work with undertaking technical inspections, tests, investigations and analysis of technical data.
  • To be able to manage processes and systems for the calibration and certification tools and equipment.
  • Will have to prepare specifications and requisitions for materials.
This role will be office/site based role.This role is a 4 Month contract, which may extend.The rate for this position is £415 Per Day (Umbrella) Inside IR35.We can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this role. Also, as part of the compliance process, a DBS will be required prior to start.You MUST hold a drivers license & PTS to qualify for this role.
