Job Description

The RoleAs Photography Assistant you will work directly with Zut’s head Photographer assisting on shoots and in post-production.Zut work for some of the world’s biggest sporting brands, in your role you’ll play a part in delivering content for them. You will also work across sectors that include fashion, food and tourism.We are looking for a candidate that has a genuine passion for photography and creating brand content. Only candidates with the right attitude towards work and self-improvement will be considered. A willingness to learn from our experienced professionals is essential.You will need to work with minimal direction and be comfortable taking the creative lead at times. At Assistant level, you will also be required to assist on video shoots, events and wherever else needed.Responsibilities

  • Management of image archive system and image cataloguing.
  • Setting up lights, background sets, cameras, kit and equipment on a shoot.
  • Retouching, manipulating, processing, uploading, scanning, watermarking and key wording images during post-production.
  • Keeping up with technological trends in the world of photography.
  • Producing technically correct images for use across a wide range of media.
  • Organising photography shoots.
  • Assisting the production team in developing and testing bespoke camera kits and field equipment.
  • Creating images for print and web, of people and products
  • Assisting in the production of high quality, consistent imagery to tight deadlines
  • Photography creative input.
  • Assisting the video production and other teams when needed.
    • Experience and skillsEssential
  • In depth understanding of technical requirements, lenses, light, ratios
  • Experience with editing software (Lr, Ps, Time-lapse)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all team members to deliver client requests in a timely manner, to a high standard.
  • Staying calm under pressure.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Positive can-do attitude and ability to use initiative.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements
  • Patience and concentration
  • Knowledge of copyright rules
  • A keen interest in photography for print and web.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time, calmly and efficiently.
  • Ability to estimate workload to meet timelines and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of filming and video editing constraints - experience of the full lifecycle of video production but an appreciation for other media and digital channels is important
