Job Description

PAYROLL ASSISTANTTEMP TO PERM£23,500-£24,000LIVERPOOL (HYBRID)IMMEDIATE STARTThe Talent Crowd are delighted to be assisting our long standing clientwith their Payroll Assistantvacancy and are looking to hire immediatelyon a 6 month temp to perm basis. Our clientoffer hybrid working with a great office space on the LiverpoolsbeautifulDocks and have over 80 years experiencebehind them within the Legal sector. This is a great opportunity for a payroller who is looking for more exposurewithin a professionaland large nationwide company and also for someone who is willing to prove themselvesto gain a permanentrole within the business.Job PurposeTo assist with the day to day function and operation of the Company’s payroll ensuring a smooth and accurate monthly payroll each month. Ensuring all internal payroll databases are updated in a timely and proficient manner.Key Responsibilities:· Organisation and maintenance of the Company’s staff payroll· Ability to work to deadlines and prepare payrolls to a number of different pay dates· Collect daily, weekly and monthly spreadsheets providing reports as required· Deal with Starters/ Leavers, transfers, amendments and salary calculations· Process P45/P46 and deal with payroll queries in a timely manner· Enter and Import new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases· Checking holiday entitlements on starters and leavers· Ability to check data and tackle any anomalies or issues· Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate well across all levels of the business· Work effectively with the HR team· Act in a professional and discreet manner at all times and understanding that all Company information is confidential· Ability to work across various payroll, time and attendance and HR systems· Aware of current legislation and to keep up to date with any legal changes, notifying the company of any changes· Any other ad hoc duties to support the Payroll / Finance DepartmentQualifications/Skills Required:· Previous payroll experience (minimum of 3 year)· Experience of working within a fast-paced payroll environment· Preferred AAT qualification· Previous experience using various systems· Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel· Attention to detail· Time management skills· Good knowledge of labour legislationFor more information around the role please feel free to call us onor email .
