Job Description

Part- Qualified AccountantLiverpool£25,000-£30,000One Liverpools largest financial services organisations are looking to appoint a Part- Qualified Accountant to join the team.Youll be working as part of a larger team which can offer longer term development and progression.Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all processing, general ledger postings, financial closing, reconciliation and internal and external reports are completed on a timely basis
  • Production, review and posting of standardized monthly journals
  • Review and posting of manual/ judgement-based journals provided by FBPs
  • Reviewing general ledger for obvious errors, omissions, or inconsistencies
  • Month end accruals and prepayment processes
  • Maintain balance sheet integrity of all accounts and ensure all unreconciled items are resolved in a timely manner and escalated as necessary
  • Ensure fixed asset records are up to date and in line with agreed accounting and operational policies and reconcile fixed assets accounts for corporate entities monthly and run depreciation
  • Review Intangible Assets for corporate entities ensuring they are in line with accounting and operational policies
  • Provide appropriate level of supporting financial reporting and analysis to the wider finance team, to enable review of month end balances and performance
  • Identify and provide analysis of variances to budgets and other defined comparatives.
  • Support the annual external audit and internal audits
  • Produce month end Dashboard/KPI figures
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement, driving standardisation and automation wherever possible.
    • Skills required:
  • Relevant accountancy qualification or studying towards - ACCA, CIMA
  • Strong financial and technical skills are a necessity.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Able to take the initiative to manage workload appropriately.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Insight to develop and apply new ways of improving processes.
  • Use interpersonal skills to develop and facilitate working relationships.
