Job Description

We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join the Commercial Litigation team of a large North West law practice in the Liverpool office. The role is within a team of commercial litigation solicitors, dealing with all aspects of commercial litigation including:

  • Advising on a wide range of legal areas
  • Advocacy
  • File and costs management
  • Drafting of documents and advice
  • Working as part of the team on substantial ongoing files
  • Participation in steering groups, committees, working parties within the Firm to share views and experience
  • To take on additional roles within the firm that assist in the smooth running of the business
    • Person Specification
  • Experience of Commercial Litigation Law / Dispute resolution and in particular costs work is desirable but not essential.
  • Legal qualifications to FILEX level, but we are happy to hear from any applicant who can demonstrate the level of skills and knowledge that we are looking for.
  • Excellent verbal/written skills and knowledge/experience of Microsoft Packages:- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, client care skills and an understanding of requirement to meet internal/external client demands.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage high volumes of work to ensure excellent service delivery in a calm and professional manner.
  • Proven ability to use initiative and take responsibility/ownership for tasks and work as part of a team is essential.
  • Flexible approach to working pattern is essential to meet client demands.
