We work collaboratively, share our knowledge and expertiseand above all love what we do and why we do it.Packaging Sustainability OfficerVitaflo (International) Ltd is currently looking to recruit a Packaging Sustainability Officer to work at our Liverpool Headquarters on a full-time permanent basis.Reporting directly into the Industrialisation Manager, you will be responsible for performing and reporting the necessary quality and analytical testing required to validate recyclable packaging solutions. You would also work closely with the Packaging Technologistand Industrialisation Manager to support in key areas to improve business processes and support sustainability and compliance of packaging.What will you doAs a Packaging Sustainability Officer,your main responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Coordinate testing of products and packaging following agreed protocols.
  • Set up trial requests and documentation in collaboration with Sustainability and Industrialisation managers.
  • Capturing, recording, and presenting analytical results in required format, maintenance of accurate records.
  • Timely reporting of consolidated results and trends to the functions concerned.
  • Reporting and investigating abnormalities (root cause analysis).
  • Provide support for the creation, maintenance, and communication of comprehensive packaging instructions, including visual guides, for Vitaflo products to all co-manufacturers and internal warehouse.
  • Ensure the relevant packing instructions are in place and there are no issues/complaints related to incorrect instructions.
  • Support the Industrialisation team by attending trials, supervising routine production or new packaging format trials.
  • Support the development and review of pallet plans for new and existing products to ensure the most effective and efficient configuration is being used.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Science or Technology
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Great team player with excellent communication skills both internally and externally
  • Results focused with the ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail that reflects thorough and accurate work.
  • Able to build strong relationships with immediate team and wider business.
  • Basic knowledge and/or interest of Sustainability topics
  • Positive and proactive mindset
  • Proficient in IT packages inclusive of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to be flexible, innovative, and problem solve.
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
