A Soil Technologist with experience of Horticultural products is sought by an established manufacturing company in the Liverpool areaWorking closely with cross-functional teams you will ensure technical information relating to products is up to date and accurate, organise product trials and work on New Product Development projects. You will approve manufacturing processes in-line with customer specifications, design and implement processes to monitor and improve product performance and presentation, work closely with production team on investigations and analyses of customer complaints including corrective /preventative action and determine appropriate process in dealing with product quality issues such as risk & crisis management, product recall process & procedures.In addition to this you will promote industry best practice in relation to quality processes, assist with the auditing of management systems e.g. Soil Association, GMA, GMI, FSC, ISO 9001:2015 and PAS100 with CQP.You will need a good understanding of soil chemistry/ science, Horticulture, growing media and the impact of ingredients on plant growth to improve products and create development and have 3 Years NPD experience with a good understanding of Development and Manufacturing processes, external annual growing trials and internal trials. You will ideally have a good knowledge of quality standards, be competent at using Microsoft Office & CRM Systems and have strong Communications skills and keen attention to detail required.This is an exciting role with a company that manufactures high-quality specialist products.
