Job Description

MOTOR FRAUD PARALEGAL LIVERPOOL The Firm:Weightmans is a Top 45 law firm with offices throughout the UK. The sheer volume of cases, and the constant possibility of major costs and resources being involved, can impact seriously on the operational performance of any of the parties involved.Whatis needed most in this situation is a service that can help process cases with maximum speed and efficiency and achieve the most satisfactory settlements possible. Weightmans Motor team is a market leader in this field offering a full service with dedicatedteams dealing with fast track, multi-track, fraud, credit hire, indemnity issues, and representation at inquests and criminal prosecutions.The role

  • Review case upon allocation and report to client/prepare internal strategy report as appropriate
  • Investigate potential fraudulent activity and intelligence gathering
  • Handle cases to conclusion including instructing investigators, posing Part 35 questions, instructing Counsel and making Part 36 offers
  • Deal with all aspects of the civil procedure process, including drafting documents and adhering to court deadlines
  • Complete client and firm MI procedures
  • Comply with client SLAs, e-manual and local claims handling requirements
  • Achieve set chargeable hours and financial targets
  • Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and KPIs are adhered to
  • Comply with relevant policies and procedures
  • Work in accordance with Weightmans values
  • Comply with Data Protection Procedures
The person specification:
  • Knowledge of CPR
  • Ability to work to meet deadlines and hit targets
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
