Reporting to the Production Manager, the main purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient operation of the production processes whilst ensuring that Safety, Mill performance and quality targets are consistently met.Your Responsibilities

  • Working within the companies Safety and Health guidelines and ensure Health and Safety requirements are met.
  • Setting up of the mill and the Screen Room to ensure maximum throughput and extraction.
  • Ensure Food Safety integrity.
  • Communicate with other Departments to ensure smooth operations at all times.
  • Report any faults or defects to the appropriate department.
  • Exhibit a flexible approach to working for the good of the company.
  • Provide call out cover.
    • Your Profile
  • Ideally be a qualified flour miller or have experience within a food process or other bulk processing industry.
  • Candidates that possess relevant engineering/Technical qualifications wanting to move into an operational role will also be considered.
  • Ideally have obtained full NABIM Milling qualification or equivalent or willing to work towards them.
  • Awareness of health and safety and HACCP, ideally with a basic food hygiene certificate.
  • Be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use computer based business management systems.
  • Problem solving abilities to analyse situations objectively and reach logical solutions.
  • Effective oral and written communication with both colleagues and external customers.
  • Other relevant skills: teamwork, reliability, decision making, ability to build relationships, performance and results focused. With 0-5 years working experience, you demonstrate the desire to pursue an engineering career in a fast paced, international company.
