We are welcoming applications for a Learning Support Practitioners (FT and PT Positions Available) The City of Liverpool College is the only general FE college in the city and the largest FE college in Liverpool City Region.It offers the widest, most diverse vocational curriculum in the region and ranges from entry up to degree and post-graduate levels and currently serves more than a third of all the 16-18 year olds in Liverpool and educates almost 12,000 learners each year,with all courses being delivered to the highest standard of learning. The support staff at the college play a vital part in ensuring that these courses are delivered to the standard of excellence we hold ourselves to, whether through supporting the students directly in their learning, or indirectly through business support rolesthat keep the day to functions of the college running smoothly.To ensure and maintain our support teams are maintaining our high standards, we are looking for high quality applicant for the following role:Learning Support PractitionerTerm Time Only (39 Weeks)Full Time Hours: 35(we would be happy to dicsuss flexible working patterns and will give due consideration to requests for part time hours)PermanentFTE Salary: £22,398 - £24,909Actual Full Time Salary: £19,803 - £22,023The RoleTo contribute to achieving excellence in supporting students through innovative and excellent practice. You will be expected to support students of all ages with a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities (moderate learning difficulties,physical/mental/ sensory/specific learning difficulties/disabilities to name a few). You will be expected to follow the recommendations in the Assessment of Need to meet the needs of individual or group of learners. The purpose of support is to remove barriersto learning and access, improving participation and achievements, fostering confidence and independence among students.You will be expected to support students at all levels, from Level 1 through to Level 4/5, and offer effective and consistent support to enable students to reach their potential.
