Job Description

The Opportunity...Are you an experienced Kitchen Assistant looking to work in a fast-paced environment Are you a good team player with experience in volume catering Then we would like to hear from you!The Home...Our devoted and compassionate team care for Residents living with a range of needs, including dementia and Parkinson’s. Each one of ourHouses on-site shares the same warm, friendly atmosphere. Residents are immediately welcomed into our community and willfind plenty of things to enjoy.Your Duties...

  • To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas by following procedureseach day.
  • To prepare the dining area which may include moving and setting up furniture, setting trolleysand the cleaning and dismantling of these as required.
  • Prepare the service area, and other equipment in the dining area for the efficient andeffective service of all meals.
  • Assist in the preparation of cooking and serving of food and beverages.
  • Serve food appropriately, under the direction of the Head Chef/Home Manager
  • Wash dishes, cutlery, jugs, serving utensils, containers, tables and all other cateringequipment in the dining area.
  • Clean, on a daily basis, all catering areas to the required standard.
  • Work at all times in accordance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Regulationsstandards.
  • Undergo training, both on and off the job, as required.
  • Inform the Head Chef/Home Manager of any defects in equipment or of premises notmeeting Health & Safety and/or Food Hygiene Regulations standards.
  • Undertake such other related duties as are required to ensure the dining area and thekitchen are in a clean and hygienic condition and that the food service is efficient and effective.
