Job Description

IT Manager - Merseyside Our expanding Merseyside based client is presently seeking to recruit an IT Manager to oversee all things IT based and progress technology within the organisation.The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the companies internal IT function to ensure the effective operational demands of a fast paced and rapidly expanding organisation. As such, you will beexpected to lead by example and able to inspire both technical and managerial confidence in others.The ideal applicant will not only be able to solidify our current internal support function but will also be instrumental in driving change to ensure the team deliver highly efficient and effective services appropriate to the needs of the rapidly expandingorganization.Key Responsibilities of the IT Manager

  • .Support, maintain and develop all information systems
  • Lead the development of systems to improve business processes
  • Support the Managing Director as a project manager
  • Support, and maintain Server infrastructure, PCs and Laptops including remote workers via VPN or RDP
  • Maintenance and development of server applications including AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Exchange and SQL Server
  • External DNS and MX configuration
  • M365 and SharePoint administration
  • Maintenance of the company domain name registrations
  • Support and maintain the Telephony system and company mobile phones
  • Support and maintain all aspects of the networking infrastructure
  • Lead for applications such as Sage 200, Dexterity WMS, Salesforce and Apollo
  • Lead for maintenance and ongoing development of the ISO 27001 information security system
  • Ensure compliance with principles of ISO 27001 and GDPR
  • As systems administrator the role has access to specific system tools and utilities to manage users and data and as such these tools should be used discretely and in accordance with ISO 27001
  • Data Protection Officer
  • Maintenance of the Information Asset Register
  • Contribute to the Business Continuity Plan
