Job Description

Liverpool based organisation require the support of an interim statutory accountant for a period of 4 to 6 months commencing January 2021. This role will be reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and will from time to time liaise with the CFO . The successful individual will be ACA or ACCA qualified, having worked in audit at some point in their career, and have proven experience in statutory & financial reporting for a larger organisation.The role

  • Supporting the auditor transition and planning, overseeing the joint venture company accounts and audit and work around improving data/documenting processes following an implementation of SAP in December 2019
  • Group financial reporting & consolidation across various areas of technical finance, working with divisional finance managers
  • Responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts for Group
  • Providing the relevant financial information required by the external auditors
  • Year end financial reporting & commentary
  • Involved in the preparation of month end reporting for the board
  • Supporting system & process improvement with regards to ERP implementation
  • Assist with annual & quarterly budgeting & forecasting requirements
    • Skills/Experience
  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Proven experience of producing statutory & month end reporting within a larger organisation
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills - Essential
  • Strong communication skills is key for this role as you will be speaking to all levels of management up to Director level
  • A can do and pro-active attitude, with the drive and ambition to learn & develop is essential for success in this role
    • Salary/Daily Rate/Benefits
  • £250 to £375 per day, or fixed term contract
