Job Description

Location: LiverpoolSalary: £225 - £300 per daySummary:To lead Production Control and Purchasing functions to supply product to Customers on time and meet the budgeted sales volumes. To maintain and develop business processes to improve the efficiency of the business, reduce cost of purchase product and minimiseinventories.Direct responsibility for the Production administration functions including sales order processing, purchasing and stores.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and development all team including purchasing, stores and sales order processing
  • Ensure the company Health and Safety, engineering and quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintain the orderbook ensuring all expected dates reflect the latest production forecast
  • Schedule and drive the production departments to ensure delivery of the production plan
  • Organise and maintain the open orderbook, advising on available capacity, product lead time and critical bottleneck processes.
  • Manage the Spares orderbook ensuring customer commitment dates are reflective of the latest supplier forecasts and progressed accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain KPIs including inventory values, cost reductions and supply chain delivery performance
  • Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counting and annual stock counts
  • Maintain and operate the MRP system
  • Reduce inventories in WIP and stores to agreed targets
  • Ensure accurate and clean data is maintained in all areas of the Sage system
