Job Description

WHAT IS ON OFFERAHK has a new opportunity for an Insurance Officer to join our team based in Prescot, near Liverpool. As an Insurance Officer, you will assist with the running of our insurances across the group.There will be training available for the right candidate to help them develop the skills needed for the role as well as opportunities to gain insurance qualifications.You will support the implementation of a Global Insurance policy framework that meets the groups requirements. Working as part of the Risk team and other key stakeholders to ensure that insurance and risk standards are maintained and replicated across thegroup.ABOUT USAlfred H Knight are an independent provider of inspection and testing services.   • Provide project assistance, supporting the success of the business global insurance objectives
  • Administration of its insurance policies including insurance renewals, mid term adjustments and ensuringprogramme is maintained to minimise the exposure to financial loss and liability
  • Provide support to the business with general insurance queries on UK and global insurance policies
  • Audit of UK and global insurance arrangements to ensure they meet the Group standard and that there are no gaps in our portfolio
  • Claims handling - cost effective management of general insurance claims including making liability decisions that support the business.
  • Assisting with major loss and specialist insurance claims ensuring compliance
  • Supporting claims handling of overseas entities
  • Supporting a lessons learned process that supports continuous improvement
  • Support the Risk team on day to day tasks and project work when required
  • Assist management with Ad-Hoc projects as required by the business.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCEEssential

Advantageous
  • Prior experience of working for the insurance sector or experience in the inspection and analysis industry
  • IT literate to intermediate level of Google applications
  • Additional languages including Latin American Spanish
